Drain device layer

The drainage device is necessary for the removal of closely located groundwater, melted water, as well as precipitation, which protects buildings and structures from flooding. Design and installation of drainage should be carried out with preliminary hydrogeological studies, calculation of the aggressiveness of groundwater and the type and building and structure.

Drainage layers in private housing construction

In private housing construction drainage systems using PVC and HDPE pipes of shallow laying up to 3 m are used. These pipes with the depth of laying to 3 are marked SN2- SN4. PVC, HDPE, perforated pipes are divided into pipes with a filter element made of geotextile type Typar, PRO DREN or from coconut fiber.

These filter elements prevent the penetration of small particles of sand or soil into the drainage system, which prevents siltation and loss of drainage capacity.

Perforated pipes without a drainage filter are laid using a filter layer made of rubble wrapped in a thermo-bonded geotextile such as Typar SF 20-27. Also, pipes without a filter element can be stacked in soils where there is no likelihood of siltation of drainage systems.

Deep and horizontal reservoir drainage

In deep and horizontal reservoir drainage it is necessary to use HDPE pipes with annular strength SN 6, 8 the depth of laying of these pipes reaches 8 m. Widely used in conditions where high strength characteristics of drainage pipes are required, flat drainage pipes are used for the class of rigidity of these pipes SN 16 and above. They are used in the construction of a drainage system in the construction of roads, tunnels, in agriculture, etc.

When installing a drainage system, drainage wells should be provided. They serve as well as inspection wells-this is necessary to check the efficiency of the drainage system and, if clogged through the inspection wells, the drainage pipe is cleaned. Sightwells are installed at each turn of the drainage pipe or 50 m. if the pipe is laid in one line.

Drainage pumps

For drainage of water from drainage wells, as well as water overflow in different-level drainage systems, drain pumps like Grunfos Unilift or Metabo PS, TPS are used.

It is not unimportant, in addition to the drainage system in the construction and design, to provide for the removal of precipitation in the form of rain. To drain sediments from the roof of the building, it is necessary to install a rainwater intake under each drainpipe.

The drainage of water into the rainwater well is made from smooth, non-perforated sewer pipes as well as corrugated non-perforated pipes such as Uponor, Polytron. When choosing water drain pipes, it is also necessary to take into account the depth of their laying and use pipes with the appropriate strength class. To drain water from the well as well as in the drainage system, drain pumps like Grunfos Unilift or Metabo PS, TPS are used.

Drainage channels:

For drainage of water from tracks or areas in private housing construction, as well as in parking lots and squares, and from sidewalks, drainage channels of the Alcaplast type are installed. These drainage channels are trays made of HDPE plastic, made of cast iron or metal. The top of the tray is fitted with a plastic, cast iron or metal grille.

These channels have the same strength class as the AVSD pipe. and in the design of drainage channels, it is necessary to select materials with a class of strength depending on the location of the installation (parking, spares, pedestrian paths, etc.). Water drainage to drainage wells is also carried out with non-perforated pipes.
